“No Mother should die while giving birth”, In Uganda, maternal mortality remains a critical issue, with 35 maternal deaths per 1,000 live births. The Corporate Run seeks to raise awareness about maternal health complications, with proceeds going toward purchasing Mama Kits to support expectant mothers at Health Center IIIs in Northern and Eastern Uganda. “We are committed to using this platform to create awareness and support mothers in need,” said Ian Rumanyika, Chairman Corporate Games.
“Supporting this event is a way to give back to the community that trusts our brand and is a way also to support the expectant mothers with the tools to ensure safe delivery.” said Ivy Igunduura, betPawa Uganda’s Country Marketing Manager PORATE.

‘With the unwavering support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the sponsorship of mama kits for pregnant mothers is a powerful initiative aimed at safeguarding the dignity, health, and lives of vulnerable women and their newborns. This program confronts the silent crisis of maternal mortality and transforms communities. The Ministry’s commitment is a stand for life, equality, and a future where no mother faces childbirth without the necessary support. This is more than a contribution-it’s a life-saving mission’ said Nakiwala Arithea, Senior Immigration Officer.
