The week leading up to the second outing of this year’s corporate games scheduled for 13/4/2025 had been a very rainy one and even I as a participant was a tad bit worried that the attendance could have been low come Sunday but to my utter amazement when I arrived at NEC grounds Bugolobi it was packed with lots of enthusiastic companies with their tents, banners and players set and happy to be out and one with nature.
All the initial 45 companies were still very well represented and right in the middle of the action playing in the muddy field reminiscent of years one would have thought had long gone by which was a joy to watch.

Also; I am happy to report that three other companies namely UNIFI loans, Nice House Of Plastics and Uganda Batteries also signed up to be part of the corporate games bringing the total now to 48 and all were there in full attendance.
Furthermore, Boxing was added as one of the new sports which particularly excited everyone as they immediately started practicing one on one with the instructors officially joining the roster that already had football, volleyball, netball, chess and the other activities as we had earlier listed.
The MC Mr. Bamuteeze Thomas did a great job keeping the games lively and on schedule which made the event seamlessly smooth and fun.
As usual NBS sports was on the grounds capturing every moment as did HI 5 Media while Soul Fresh juice catered to all our thirst and health needs in real time.
Notable presences to report were of several company Chief Executive Officers who came through to participate in the games and also support their staff on an almost leveled field and these were Mr Michiel Le Rroux CEO of UNIFI Credit, Mr. Andrew Mugerwa the Director of Investments at Uganda Development Corporation, Mr. Wafula Robert the Vice President Of Surveyors Of Uganda, Miss Okui Ossiya the CEO of Capital Markets Authority to mention but a few.

I excitedly continue to reiterate that we shall have the CEO outing in June just a few weeks from the time we publish this article which we anticipate will be the best corporate outing this year.
A few months down the road in October we shall have the Corporate Run in which are running for, standing with and supporting expectant mothers.
When all is said and done it was a beautiful start to the easter week and I continue to urge companies to get on board as it will be the best decision you make for your staff and yourself in turn improving workplace relations and overall productivity.
