The Kacita Quality Awards held on 5th December at the Grand Imperial Hotel was a night where the best in their respective industries were appreciated for their work.
The winners in each category were as follows:
- Government Agency of the Year – Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB)
- Regulatory Body of the Year – Uganda Communications Commission (UCC)
- Utility Company of the Year – National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC)
- Cross-Border Trade Facilitation Partner of the Year – Kenya Ports Authority (KPA)
- Fast-Growing Beverage Company of the Year – Harris International (Riham)
- Outstanding Steel Company of the Year – Uganda Baati
- Innovative Building Solutions Company of the Year – Hima Cement Limited
- Plastic Water Tanks & Pipes Manufacturing Company of the Year – Crestanks Uganda Ltd
- Paint Manufacturing Company of the Year – Global Paints Uganda Ltd
- Skin Care Products of the Year – Movit Products Ltd
- Sanitary Product of the Year – Health Shuya Pads
- Local Shipping & Logistics Company of the Year – Maritime Organization for Eastern, Southern, and Northern Africa (MOESNA)
- Transport Agency of the Year – Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
- Outstanding Commercial Bank Of The Year – Tier 1 – Centenary Bank
- Outstanding Commercial Bank Of The Year – Tier 2 – Pride Bank Limited
- Best Agricultural Research and Product Development Organization of the Year – National Coffee Research Institute (NACORI)
- CSR Partner of the Year – Uganda Insurers Association
- Innovative Company of the Year – Spiro Uganda
- Pharmaceutical Company of the Year – Abacus Pharma Uganda
- Agro-Chemical Company of the Year – Bukoola Chemical Industries
- Real Estate Company of the Year – Bakaima Real Estate Agents
- BUBU Business of the Year – Sumz Food Industries
- Best Alcoholic Beverage Brand of the Year – Uganda Breweries Ltd
- Best Business Landlord of the Year – Agnes Babirye
Every category had a couple of heavy hitters, with the crème de la crème rising to the top.
Some of the categories were:
Government Agency of the Year, which was recognizing a government ministry, department, authority, or agency that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to promoting trade, investment, and economic development. The award celebrates excellence in public-sector partnership with the business community to enhance the investment climate and strengthen trade opportunities.
Paint Manufacturing Company of the Year, which recognizes a paint company that has demonstrated excellence in quality, innovation, customer service, and market impact in Uganda over the past year. This award celebrates companies that provide solutions combining beauty, durability, and innovation, reflecting a strong commitment to excellence in the paint industry.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Partner of the Year, which recognizes a company or institution that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to giving back to society through sustainable, impactful, and transformative initiatives. This award celebrates organizations that go beyond their core business to improve the well-being of communities, protect the environment, and promote inclusive social development in Uganda.
URSB won the Government Agency of the Year Award, recognizing their excellence and commitment to delivering quality services to the country. The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is the institution mandated under Cap 217 Laws of Uganda to deliver a number of registration services that aim at facilitating and enabling the private sector growth in order to create a better investment climate. They are key to the forward movement of the business sector of the country.
The Kacita Quality Awards 2025 not only recognized the best in each category but also put every other contender on the map as both worthy opponents but also exposed them to bigger markets and raised their credibility in their respective fields.
