Dr. Joseph Mubiru is a Pharmaceutical leader with over a decade of experience across the pharmaceutical value chain, including regulatory affairs, manufacturing, quality assurance, distribution, and enterprise development. His career is anchored in technical excellence, operational integrity, and a commitment to expanding access to safe, high-quality, and affordable healthcare products in Uganda and the broader region.
As Technical Director and Company Pharmacist at Kampala Pharmaceutical Industries (1996) Ltd (KPI), Uganda’s oldest pharmaceutical manufacturer, Joseph provides strategic oversight for regulatory compliance, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, and product quality systems. He has successfully led GMP audit preparation, compliance, and certification processes for five consecutive years, strengthening KPI’s position as a trusted producer of quality essential medicines.
Joseph is also the Founder of Meds and More Company Ltd, a growing pharmaceutical enterprise operating across retail, wholesale distribution, and regulatory affairs consultancy. In this role, he drives commercial and scientific strategy and has supported Market Authorization for over 100 pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, enabling compliant market entry and sustainable business growth for both local and international firms.

He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, an MSc in Biotechnology Innovation and Regulatory Science from Purdue University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Makerere University Business School, combining technical mastery with strategic leadership to contribute meaningfully to Uganda’s health sector and shape organizations that deliver sustainable impact.
