Jacqueline Kembabazi-Nkurunziza is an experienced HR Management professional with 17 years of progressive operational and consulting experience in Human Resource Management within the corporate and private sectors. She has supported organizations in strategically managing their most valuable asset—human capital. Jacqueline has served as the HR Manager for Nice House of Plastics and Lion Assurance Co. Ltd, and she is currently the Human Resource Manager for CPHL/National Health Laboratories and Diagnostic Services, the laboratory department within the Ministry of Health responsible for reference testing across the country, among other lab-related functions.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from Makerere University and an MBA with a specialization in Human Resource Management from Heriot-Watt University. Jacqueline uniquely blends HR and legal expertise with business acumen and a passion for people development.
With a proven track record in establishing and maintaining functional HR departments, she has spearheaded transformative human resources initiatives, providing strategic and operational approaches to align the HR function with organizational goals. Her passion lies in creating environments where individuals can thrive, and organizations can excel. As a certified coach, her legal and HR background enables her to provide strategic guidance to diverse organizations, facilitating growth and driving results-driven solutions.
Jackie is a member of the ICF-Uganda Chapter and is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their greatness through teaching, coaching, and counseling. She is committed to inspiring personal and professional growth, unlocking human potential, and empowering others. As a certified coach, she partners with leaders and individuals to help them excel in their leadership roles. Outside her professional responsibilities, she actively engages in mentoring programs that support future leaders, including the CivSource Grow Program, Evolving Woman Uganda, and Girls for Girls (G4G), where she finds joy in empowering others through mentorship and personal development initiatives.
Having held HR leadership positions in various organizations, Jacqueline is now poised to further her growth by influencing and contributing at a governance and policy level. She aims to drive change and transformation from the top, leveraging her holistic approach to HR management, her deep understanding of human dynamics, and her passion for seeing people and organizations succeed. This journey to the boardroom will prepare her for this next chapter.
