THE CORPORATE GAMES 8TH EDITION MARCH 2025.

The Chief Guest and General Manager NEC Uzima exchanges MOU with the Chairman of the Corporate Games

The adverts, social media campaigns, and launch happened a while back with the promise of an unforgettable season. True to the organizer, Mr. Ian Rumanyika’s word, the official day of the corporate games kicked off on 2nd March 2025 as all roads led to the NEC grounds in Bugolobi.

It was exactly as it had been marketed and, oh did I tell you? They had the Air Force Band in formation marching around the field with each company’s participants; a sound to behold, brought back childhood memories of scout assemblies at Baden Powell school woop woop…..yeayyyy.

The Ritz Medical team, the official medical sponsor for Corporate Games 2025

The day started cool with the 45 companies that registered for this year’s games including but not limited to The Judiciary Commission, Uganda Batteries Limited, Uganda Baati, State House, and Mulwana Group Of Companies to mention but a few all showed up in their very well designed and branded game kits and jerseys exuding enthusiasm and excitement I had not seen in a hot minute geared up to fully represent which lit up my already lit day as I smiled from ear to ear watching them come in.

The Head NBS Sports the official media Sponsors, Kabura Andrew enjoys the games

The sponsors of NBS sports were live on the field covering all the highlights while UZIMA Water sponsored and supplied water to all participating companies free of charge.

Around 10 a.m. the sun started to show off its hotness but did it stop them? ABSOLUTELY NOT; it instead seemed to re-energize everyone in attendance; a sight for sore eyes if I may say so.

The guest of honor and chief sportsman who was none other than the General Manager of UZIMA Water and Vice Chairman of NEC FC Major Ankwasa Edgar came in around 12.30 pm seemingly pleased with the huge turnout and he announced that the CEO outing where CEO will participate in a myriad of fun games will take place in May.

Furthermore, he informed us all that the Corporate run which is specifically designed for the good of expectant mothers will also begin in October and other outings like the Aviation and Oil and Gas outing will also be part of this year’s activities to look forward to.
