Corporate Games 2026 Kicks Off with Energy, Competition, and Celebration

The campaigns and onboarding of sponsors had been underway, albeit not as extensively as the previous year, but the message reached far and wide.

15th March 2026 started off as a chilly day as I made my way to Jeph International University in Butabika to do some branding work for a participant. I arrived at 6:45am and it was still quiet, with a few tents set up the night before. As I enjoyed the open air, unexpectant of people showing up as early as 7am, there they were coming in fast and full of good energy and drive to make the day count.

Set up was properly accomplished by 8am, and the scene was set just a few minutes before the CEO of Corporate Games, Mr Ian Rumanyika, arrived. With him came the MC duo that had us all excited, along with participants from the registered companies.

At 9 am, the fitness session kicked off, with all companies taking part in a lively dance routine. Shortly after, the drummers’ troupe from Chuusa Wato Dance Company lit up the field with synchronized beats that had the whole place buzzing with excitement and enthusiasm. Even those of us not yet in formation joined in we did not want to miss a single moment.

On the lineup for sports activities this season were woodball, netball, volleyball, football, kwepena, chess, golf simulator, karate, and perhaps the most impressive setup the professionally done boxing ring. With all the bells and whistles, you would have believed it if someone told you Golola Moses was coming.

At 10 am, the games officially began, and from that moment on, it was pure fun. Companies, including Total Uganda, Moving Ads, BNI Uganda, Piston Medical, Ruby Clinic, Uganda Woodball Federation, UBC, USPC, Uganda Baati, 360 LYF Golf, UDLS, Node Group, Capital Markets Authority, UNBS, Judicial Service Commission, Watoto Church, and many others, made their way to their match points and commenced the season.

At about 12 pm, the Chief Guest arrived, none other than the Board Vice Chairlady of the Private Sector Foundation (PSFU), Miss Sarah Kagingo. She spoke about the importance of physical fitness even as we work hard and demonstrated this by actively participating in some of the sports, further energizing the teams.

Also notable was the attendance of BNI Uganda Director Mrs Diana Ninsiima Kibuuka, who fully engaged in all activities, with women savoring every moment and enjoying every millisecond of it.

As I sign off, I must mention that Hi5 Media, as always, showed up and delivered beautifully curated coverage. Once you see the pictures and videos, you will want to sign up your company immediately.

One may wonder why refreshments were not mentioned. Well, I saved the best for last. We had Yo Nyama, courtesy of Richland Foods Limited, serving muchomo, goat meat, chicken, sausages, and so much more that you too will partake of come the second Sunday of April 2026.

If I wrote more than this, you might miss the fun, but I implore you to sign up, get fit, have fun, and build your network.

Corporate Games 2026, you are off to an electric, record-breaking start, and I am proudly associated.
