The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) has assured visitors that Uganda remains peaceful and fully open for tourism during the ongoing election cycle.

According to UTB, the country continues to experience a calm and stable environment across all tourism destinations, including national parks, wildlife reserves, cultural and heritage sites, cities, adventure destinations, and hospitality establishments. Tourism activities are proceeding normally, with hotels, lodges, tour operators, attractions, and transport services operating without disruption.

UTB further noted that the government has implemented adequate security measures to ensure the safety of citizens and visitors across the country, including on election day. The board added that it is working with relevant government agencies and private sector stakeholders to ensure smooth tourism operations nationwide.

Visitors to The Pearl of Africa are encouraged to proceed with their travel plans as scheduled and continue enjoying Uganda’s diverse tourism offerings.
