Steel & Tube will showcase its range of locally manufactured construction and structural solutions at the 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair from October 2 to 11 at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) Showgrounds in Lugogo, as the manufacturer prepares to engage customers and businesses throughout the ten-day exhibition.

The company will exhibit alongside manufacturers, entrepreneurs, businesses and other industry players at the annual trade fair, giving visitors an opportunity to interact directly with its products, technical experts and representatives.

For Steel & Tube, the exhibition will provide a platform to demonstrate its products to contractors, developers, commercial builders, homeowners and other customers seeking steel and structural solutions for construction and infrastructure projects. The company will also participate in the organisation of the trade fair, giving it a role in both shaping the exhibition and engaging visitors on the exhibition floor.

Regina Namuwonge, Executive Operations Manager at Steel & Tube and part of the leadership organising UGITF 2026, said the company’s participation reflects the importance of bringing manufacturers closer to the people they serve.

“Trade fairs give us an opportunity to meet our customers where they are, listen to what they need, and demonstrate the practical solutions we have available,” Namuwonge said.

At the Steel & Tube stand, visitors will be able to explore the company’s range of construction products through demonstrations and direct engagements with structural experts. The team will provide practical guidance on product applications and construction requirements, allowing customers to better understand the solutions available to them.

The exhibition comes under the theme “Formalizing Trade to Secure Uganda’s Economic Future,” placing local manufacturing, quality standards and structured trade at the centre of this year’s discussions. Steel & Tube’s participation therefore comes at a time when Uganda continues to promote domestic production and stronger connections between local manufacturers and consumers.

The company manufactures a range of steel and construction products, including TMX B500 bars, hollow sections, open profiles, roofing products, wire products, steel plates and stainless-steel tanks. Its structural engineering division also produces pre-engineered steel building solutions for commercial, industrial, agricultural and infrastructure applications. Through the trade fair, the manufacturer will have an opportunity to demonstrate how these products are applied across different construction needs while engaging directly with the market.

Namuwonge said supporting UGITF should also be viewed as an investment in the wider manufacturing sector.

“Your support is not only sponsorship of an event; your support is an investment in Ugandan manufacturing, in local enterprise, and in the country’s ability to trade within itself and the region,” she said.

The trade fair will bring together businesses and consumers from different sectors, creating opportunities for exhibitors to showcase products, build relationships and identify new commercial opportunities. Other Ugandan brands will also participate, reinforcing the Buy Uganda, Build Uganda agenda and giving consumers an opportunity to interact directly with local companies.

Happy Ahumuza, Events Supervisor at Movit Africa Limited, another exhibitor, said the exhibition provides an important opportunity for local brands to connect directly with consumers.

“The trade show means a lot to us because it is a one-stop destination for everyone, boosting the ‘Buy Uganda, Build Uganda’ movement,” Ahumuza said.

Ahead of the exhibition, Steel & Tube will also use its digital platforms to build awareness around its participation, with product highlights, expert insights and construction-focused content planned before and during the event. The campaign will continue throughout the ten-day exhibition with coverage of activities at the company’s stand, including product demonstrations and customer engagements.

For customers visiting the UMA Showgrounds, the Steel & Tube stand will provide an opportunity to move beyond simply viewing products and instead engage directly with the people responsible for providing technical and construction solutions.

As the 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair brings together businesses, manufacturers and consumers, Steel & Tube will be at the UMA Showgrounds from October 2 to 11, ready to exhibit its products, engage customers and serve the market.
